Although most of the route follows quiet, rural roads and bike paths, some sections do involve heavier traffic. Please watch road crossings when you are traveling the north/south loop. The roads there are lightly traveled by car but do cross over some busy state routes. Watch for stop signs. The busiest road on the route is SR 6 which travels along the shores of Lake Erie. It is a popular route for cyclists due to its proximity to the Lake but care should be taken as it gets busy in spots. Helmets are strongly recommended.

Many of Ohio's back roads are rolling. Stay on the right and please be aware that hills may present blind spots for motorists!
